President Obama, the Constitution & Securing the Nation

Saturday May 15, 2010, President Obama paid tribute to law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. He stated, the officers give Americans a sense of security in their daily lives. A life free from fear is what makes freedom possible.

A life free from fear is what makes freedom possible. I guess, unless you live in Arizona, that foreign country where the Governor, Jan Brewer had to step in and pass a law to help protect the citizens of that state from the invasion of illegal immigrants coming across the border, because the federal government refuses to do their duty and secure the borders. President Obama and U.S. Attorney Eric Holder misrepresented, mischaracterized and demonized the law, saying it was misguided and would lead to racial profiling, without even reading the law. Obama has been fanning the flames of racism regarding the Arizona law and now other states are joining in the protest by refusing to do business with the state of Arizona. All because the Governor took steps necessary to try to protect the citizens of her state.

The United States of America is a sovereign nation, made up of laws that need to be enforced or you will have anarchy. There was a “teacher” at a rally at UCLA California calling for a revolution against Capitalism (the United States) and claiming California and the southwest states are the occupied territory of Mexico. At another immigration rally there were signs stating give us free heathcare, housing, food and jobs without taxes or they will shoot the police. However, you did not hear any condemnation from these acts coming from Obama or Holder, or see it publicized by the so-called mainstream media.

Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution states, before he (president) enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following
Oath or Affirmation:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve,protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." I do not believe President Obama is living up to the oath of office he took. Here is why:

Article 2 Section 2 states, The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices. The Governor of Arizona did ask for help from the federal government in securing the borders.

The Constitution begins with: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union,establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Article 1 Section 8 states, To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations; To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces; To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions; To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers,and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;...

Article 1 Section 9 states, The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person. The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

Article 2.Section 1
The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.

Article 4 Section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Although, I am not a lawyer it seems to me that President Obama is not living up to the oath of office he took when he was sworn in as President of the United States, because he swore to the best of his ability, to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Clearly the Constitution states, as President he is Commander in Chief, and he is to protect every state against and invasion and domestic violence, especially when the Governor has asked for help.
