Obama and National Defense

Nuclear Disarmament

Iran and Israel

Venezuela and Russia

Obama and National Defense

Americans need to be concerned about the direction this country is headed for reasons of safety and our standing in the world with our allies.

On the 70th anniversary of the invasion of Poland by the Soviet Union, President Barack Hussein Obama announced the discontinuation of the missile defense system that was to be built in the Czech Republic and Poland. Is he that clueless? Obama phoned Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk alerting them of his decision to abandon them.

Obama stated his decision was based on the United States’ conclusion that Iran is less focused on developing the kind of long-range missiles for which the system was originally developed, making the building of the shield unnecessary. So, Iran will not be using long-range missiles for now, but why not be prepared in case they do? He was also concerned with the provocation it may cause with Russia by building it.

Obama believes in nuclear disarmament, he travels the world apologizing for the United States; he is an appeaser and shows weakness to our enemies in the world. Obama’s administration is also investigating the CIA interrogators for actions taken by them after the 9/11 attacks. The actions taken by Obama are dangerous to safety of this country. After all, the prime responsibility of the federal government is to protect its citizens from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Obama has stated strong presidents talk to their adversaries. Iran, Cuba and Venezuela, these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union and they don’t pose a serious threat. Though in another speech he says Iran poses a grave threat. So, which is it, not a serious threat or a grave threat?

On September 9th, 2009 at a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna Glyn Davies, a US. Envoy stated Iran is moving closer to being able to make a nuclear bomb. The AP reported senior officials at the IAEA stated Tehran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and worked on a missile system that can carry a warhead. They did not want to make the information public.

Russia recently extended a 2.2 billion dollar line of credit to Venezuela to purchase military equipment and nuclear weapons. This past year Russia did naval war maneuvers with nuclear-armed warships off the coasts of Venezuela and Cuba. Why? Russia also deals with Iran and Cuba.

Obama sides with the Palestinians over Israel, and is demanding Israel to stop building in the settlements. Yet, Mahmoud Akmedinajan, the leader of Iran, seeks the destruction of Israel. President Obama, who are your allies, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Russia or Israel, Poland or the Czech Republic?

We are living in dangerous times and this administration should be concerned with what these countries (Russia, Iran, Cuba and Venezuela) are doing. I believe the Obama administration is undermining the efforts of the CIA by the rules they have imposed on them and by the investigation of them for the interrogations that were conducted after 9/11.

Are we headed for WW3? America is the superpower of the world, and we should not disarm. The reason to have the bomb is so you do not have to use it. Peace through Strength!
